Current Mountain Professional Grant Application

THE CRITERIA TO RECEIVE FUNDING IS AS FOLLOWS:

  • Funding is available for current ski patrollers and wilderness rescue professionals.

  • Past recipients are eligible to re-apply.

  • Chenoa Plank Memorial Scholarship Selection Committee Members and Amazing Ski and Snow People Board of Directors are ineligible to apply.

  • Application deadline is February 15.

  • Annual scholarship distribution depends on the courses requested and funds available, however, at least one grant will be funded each season.

  • Applicants must demonstrate how the proposed program or course will complement their professional mountain careers.

  • Funds will be dispersed directly to the institution/entity conducting the upcoming course.

  • Recipients must register and complete the course as defined in the grant award letter within one year of award date. 

  • Recipients must provide certification of course completion.

  • Patrollers/rescue professionals may apply for tuition reimbursement of an approved course successfully completed within six months of application.  All receipts must be submitted showing invoice paid in full, course work completed, and certification earned. 

  • Recipients must fill out the Amazing Ski and Snow People evaluation form within 30 days of course completion.

  • Applicants must submit an application.

Please answer the following questions in a thoughtful and reflective manner as you complete your written application. Applications must be submitted by February 15th. Applications will be reviewed by a committee selected by the Board of Directors of Amazing Ski and Snow People. Applications with missing or incomplete information will not be considered.
